Upon Winter Restaurant Week’s commencement, I arrived at much crowded Ai Fiori as my first pick of the season.
I’ve never been a big fan of butternut squash especially in a soup form, but Zuppa di Zucca converted me into a devout worshiper within the first spoonful of its glory. It goes without saying, the rest of my lunch at Ai Fiori was nothing but heaven for me. Quick & Dirty, the rundown of the meal: Country Terrine reminded me of Paris where I first learned the insatiable world of pâté, Tagliatelle ruthlessly beat Maialino’s famous cacio e pepe, Gamba di Pollo was awesome yet I was convinced I could find the same flavor else where. Last words, Torta di Olio- pure love & Budino di Cioccolatoe was decadent.
